On Saturday Avery turned 2 months old! The time has really gone by fast and she seems so much bigger!
We have been having such a fun time with her!
She loves to take naps on the couch and she buries her face into the cushion. Just like Taylor did...and it still scares us and we constantly check on her to make sure she has room to breath! :)
Like I said before, this was after Avery's 1st trip to the dermatologist. She has a hemangioma on her forehead. It started out as just 3 tiny dots and has grown and grown. She will go to the dermatologist once a month to receive treatment for it. We don't have to treat it (unless it starts to push on her eye) and it will go away on it's own. The doctor said they start going away at 2 years and will be gone completely by 9ish. But after it is gone it will leave the skin bubbly and would have to be treated by a plastic surgeon to fix it. So we decided to go ahead and treat it. That way we can stop the growth and also decrease it some.

Happy 2 months, Avery! We are all so in love with you and we are enjoying every moment with you...even when you won't go to sleep! :) You are so precious and beautiful! We can't wait to watch you grow and make new discoveries!

ReplyDeleteAnd as a hopefully encouraging sidenote, my sister had a hemangioma on her forehead (I didn't know the name till I read it here) when she was a baby too, and it was gone by the time she was 2.
